On the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar spoke about the damage done to the reputation of Muslims.
She also spoke about the pain of the 9/11 victim’s families but she did it with the caveat of telling Americans that they should feel sympathy for Muslims.
“9/11 was an attack on all Americans,” she said during an appearance on ‘Face the Nation.’ “I certainly could not understand the weight of the pain that the victims of the families of 9/11 must feel.”
“What I was speaking to was, as a Muslim, not only was I suffering as an American who was attacked on that day. But the next day I woke up as my fellow Americans were treating me as suspect,” she said.
It was the latest in a long line of comments that people felt were dismissive of the September 11 like one comment she made last year about the formation of CAIR.
Never Forget, Omar Callously Dismisses The Horror Of 9/11.
Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar is a noted anti-Semite but now her anti-Americanism is starting to show.
In a speech last month, that has surface online this week, the controversial representative described the terrorist attacks of 9/11 as “some people did something.”
“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” she said.
It is the most condescending way to describe attacks that murdered 3,000 Americans and changed the nation forever.
But in the eyes of Omar, who argued for lenient sentences for aspiring ISIS members, it is “some people did something.
She was torched by many, among them Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a veteran and United States military hero who found her remarks “unbelievable.
“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something,” he said.
Wrong. CAIR was founded in the 90s, and that "something" people did was kill thousands of innocent Americans. Minnesota, what is wrong with you? https://t.co/e7AqDMbgcF

Look, we know what she is.
All that is left is for Democrats to decide if that is part of who they are or not? https://t.co/lHeLeBsHmA
