Pew Poll: Partisan Divide Is Widening

President Donald Trump is a polarizing leader and the division between the major political parties has only widened since he took office, according to the latest survey from the Pew Research Center.

Republicans and Democrats have just one thing in common: They share negative views of the opposition party in the Pew poll.

According to Republicans, Democrats are:

  • Closed-minded – 64% of Republicans say.
  • More unpatriotic – 63%.
  • Immoral – 55%.
  • Lazy – 46%.
  • Unintelligent – 36%.

Then, Democrats say Republicans are:

  • Closed-minded – 75% of Democrats say.
  • More unpatriotic – 23%.
  • Immoral – 47%.
  • Lazy – 20%.
  • Unintelligent – 38%.

Notably, Democrats mostly agree Republicans are patriotic and not lazy.

“Even as Republicans and Democrats have grown more critical of each other, they acknowledge – and voice concern about – the partisanship dividing the nation,” according to the Pew Poll. “Overwhelming majorities in both parties (85% of Republicans and 78% of Democrats) say divisions between the two parties are increasing.”

The Pew Research Center poll was conducted Sept. 3-15 among 9,895 members of Pew’s American Trends Panel and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.5 percentage points.

  1. The MORON that further divided the country was none other than the gay mooslime FRAUD barry OBUNGHOLE. The next “crew” that took over is the “squad” , that ALL should be tossed out of Congress for further attempting to carry on OBUNGHOLE’S “legacy”. It seem the DEMOCOMMUNISTS have all lost their marbles, and are seriously afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome. (and REALLY. ALL should seek professional mental help)

    1. read the latest too: glennbeck.com….signals the nail in the coffin for demorats…further investigate…lots of evidence…

  2. Donald Trump has not and is not dividing anybody. He is uniting many people like me who love the constitution and who have been concerned sinc 1962 at seeing it grossly violated with no reaction from the congress. The democratic platform divides people. It promotes very strongly legal abortion with no restrictions, prohibition of any prayer in schools and or school events, acceptance of and encouragement of sodomy, lesbianism, and even transgender bathrooms and same sex so called marriage.. These beliefs divide people very clearly and strongly. No person or persons divide us. The wrong beliefs in the democratic platform and the imposition of those beliefs upon Bible believing people; those divide us; not any person or persons.I support Trump not because I like or admire him, but because he had shown himself to be a true believer in the constitution and the religious liberty it provides.I also believe in property rights and freedom of opportunity and personal responsibility. Donal Trump has shown he stands for all those things.

  3. The Chief divider of our Country was Obama. He stirred up the Race card, his hate for law enforcement, and his hate for Americans. Trump can only fix all the bad decisions Obama made so fast. Trump won in 2016. Democrats need to get over it.

    1. If only you had a brain comment’s like yours only divide us more.
Think about that for a while, didn’t you serve to protect all Americans cause that what I signed up for not just one party or one half of America I signed up for all Americans to have RIGHTS AND FREEDOM EVEN YOU.

  5. I think the two party system is needed BUT I further believe that each party should have the same amount of members on each side..In doing so each side would still have their opinions, BUT then they could discuss their views the whys and wherefores, and talk about which is best, with out one side having the advantage just because they have more members then the other side..with that arrangement what got done would be for the country and the people without all the childish crap that has been going on now for the last three years..and longer for that matter..however these last three have gotten totally out of hand and nothing is getting done. Both sides get elected by the people for the people and not for the “Parties” These last three years have been…….we hate Trump and screew everything else our job is to get rid of Trump any which way we can…and the people can sit and watch……THAT AIN’T THE WAY IS WAS SET UP TO BE…..

    1. Your the only one that makes any sense most everybody else are foul mouthed pathetic loser’s that only want to divide us even more.

  6. Cliff
It’s comment’s like your’s that divide us Democrats only believe that Republicans don’t have the best intrest for all Americans.
They only care for the top 10% which creates inequality that inturn creates anger that creates racism that creates hatred that leads to DIVISION AMONGST THE PEOPLE.
Instead of lashing out you should spend more time researching actually what divides us what causes OPPRESSION AMONGST THE PEOPLE
What America needs is Tax reform that benefits all Americans not just those at the top.
Ask yourself why do we have the so called Investment Income Tax, should we not Tax all income the same, I for one would have loved to pay less then 5% Tax on my income.
Ask yourself why do you pay SS Tax on 100% of you income and they only pay up to just over 100.000 thousand dollars, I think the top tier should be at least 1 million dollars.
Ask yourself why they don’t let us VOTE for TERM LIMITS why is that only up to them.
Until you learn it’s both parties that OPPRESS us you will never have peace you will always have HATRED, RACISM, DIVISION AND WAR.

  7. The only crime that has been done on the American people is the last administration that instilled hate towards police, blamed our country from day one of his 8 years in office, invoked hate towards Caucasian people, and other races. did nothing to improve any race in this country and put his efforts on foreign countries to change our lifestyle of freedom. trying to destroy our Constitution and take the American people’s rights away. encouraging the Muslim brotherhood to become part of our government and invade our country with their ideology of hate. Trump has brought to the surface the evil dishonest things that the Democrats have been doing for years on end. and now they’re running scared trying to pull every trick out of the hat, but we will stand by Trump because it’s the Democrats not the Republicans that spent years bringing down America.
